Sophie spent all her childhood living in Jersey, before moving to New Zealand and then Nottingham to pursue further education and her love of psychology. She has a strong academic background, achieving a bachelor’s degree in psychology and specialising in developmental disorders for her master’s degree. Sophie’s passion for understanding and assisting those with additional needs shines through in her experience as a Lead Teaching Assistant at Mont à L'Abbé School, implementing special educational programmes and interventions, and providing personalised support to enhance students’ learning and well-being. Her summers spent as a Complex Needs Keyworker at Jersey Youth Service were filled with creating safe spaces for young people to explore new experiences. Beyond her work, Sophie has an adventurous spirit and loves learning new skills in her spare time, whether through creative interests such as dancing and drawing, or outdoor activities like surfing and kayaking. Sophie’s academic background and hands-on experience bring an invaluable blend of specialised knowledge and empathy to the team.
